Great Northern Pines Alpaca Ranch

JOEY, KAYLA, AND WYNONA!!

Over this past summer we had the pleasure to have 3 students from the Red Rock Indian Band to work on the Ranch. Even though the weather did not co-operate with the work program, the students never-the-less experience first hand life and work on the Alpaca farm.

They scooped and shovelled Alpaca pellets. One of the students proclaimed that, "At least we know that they aren't constipated".

They painted the barn, fence, mowed, learned how to mix feed as well as feeding the boys.

They started re-seeding a new pasture and all the while have fun with "the Boys".
Leary at first, all three students learned that these animals are gentle and fun to be around. They all have requested a return visit to the farm in 2010.

We loved having them and we will certainly entertain the thought of having the students return.

Great job guys!
